About My Clients
Many people face different obstacles throughout their life and have coped with those experiences in their own way. Sometimes those coping methods are no longer useful to us and can be interfering with our current relationships causing us to feel distanced, ignored, disconnected, or lonely. I am passionate in helping couples and families heal together for improved relationships.
My Background and Approach
I am a bilingual (English and Spanish) LMFT. I have 5 years of experience working with trauma, anxiety, depression, and behavioral and emotional concerns. I am trained in various evidenced based treatment modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), Child Family Traumatic Stress Intervention (CFTSI). I also bring in various techniques from different therapy modalities including strength-based therapy, trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, solution focused, CBT, and family systems. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Laverne in CA while serving on active duty. I then received my Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy & Professional Clinical Counseling from National University in San Diego, CA. I am currently licensed to practice the Texas and am working on becoming an EMDR Consultant.
