About My Clients
Are you always a little bit afraid to be yourself? Have you been hit with what feels like more than you can handle alone? I know those feelings exactly! I am honored to work with those in the LGBTQ+ community as well as individuals who struggle with substance use issues, trauma, anxiety/depression. I work from a psychodynamic perspective utilizing somatic skills to offer a safe space for those striving for a more fulfilling life.
My Background and Approach
My goal for you is to have a safe, nonjudgemental space in which you can explore how to achieve a more fulfilling life. I have spent my career perfecting ways in which I can best serve those whom I enter into a therapeutic relationship with so that they can engage authentically and completely with those aspects of themselves they may be afraid to look at. I work from a dynamically oriented framework because I believe that past experiences continue to impact us in the present until we can learn from and utilize them in a more beneficial way.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a gay man who grew up in the rural south, I understand the intense fear and anxiety that can build up inside. My personal experiences as a trauma survivor to my personal/spiritual beliefs inform my views that all people are deserving of respect and dignity allowing them to live more fully and authentically.
