About My Clients
I find fulfillment working with people who struggle with anxiety and their identity to overcome their fears and fully live their life. During our initial sessions, we will dive into what is keeping you where you are in your life and create a plan to begin making incremental changes to get you closer to the life you want to live, with less fear and more security in yourself.
My Background and Approach
In our sessions, I start by seeking out a holistic picture of your life and the difficulties present. Then we will develop and implement solutions to your immediate individual problems, progressing towards changing unhelpful thoughts and narratives while infusing mindfulness techniques throughout our individual process. Ultimately we will work towards accepting what we cannot change and incrementally changing what we can to get you closer to the life you want to live.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
In general, I take a dual approach to life, seeing the past and future merge into our present. I see our past choices and experiences which may have been helpful back then, now hampering our present, meaning that we have to unlearn those reactions. I also see how fear and anxiety about the future can paralyze our present, preventing us from taking positive action in the here-and-now. With me, we will learn how to contextualize your past experiences and dispel and accept the fears of the unknown future and move forward into a brave present. On a personal level, I am a family man which I find fulfilling. When I do have rare free time I usually spend it building Magic the Gathering decks or looking for funny gifs to show my close loved ones. I care deeply about racial justice and attempt to push back on injustice whenever I can in my life. I strive to create a safe place in my sessions for my clients to explore their thoughts and feelings completely free of judgment.
