About My Clients
Anxiety and depression are real issues that young people face, especially during major life events and transitions. I enjoy providing the tools and support they need to work through their emotions in order to help them succeed in all areas of their lives. In addition, I know that oftentimes parents need extra support and direction as their children and loved ones sort through their struggles. I not only treat the client but also help the family to find resources and skills to assist their child
My Background and Approach
I completed my Masters in Education at the University of Cambridge in England where I trained as an Integrative Counselor and Psychotherapist. The foundation of my work is Person-Centered, but I also use other therapeutic techniques such as Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I am currently a counselor under supervision as I pursue my license in the state of Georgia. My work experience includes working in a mental health treatment center and working in high schools with students. Because I grew up and worked in one of the most diverse cities in the world (London), I have a lot of experience working with families and young people from diverse backgrounds.
