About My Clients
My niche is working with the unique mental health concerns that affect marginalized/minoritized, first generation/immigrant, LGBTQ, pregnant/postpartum women, young adult, and college student populations. I have extensive training incorporating CBT strategies in treatment and providing trauma-informed care for concerns like anxiety, depression, life transitions, and navigating complex relationships.
My Background and Approach
I work to build trust with my clients in order to form a collaborative dynamic that focuses on growing self-understanding while building tools to meet therapeutic goals. The specific approach I use is grounded in evidence-based treatments, empathy, and a multicultural perspective that honors how identities and social contexts shape our experiences.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
To me therapy does not work in a bubble because people do not live in bubbles. We always have to consider the external factors that affect the individual. Thus a client's identity, background, and social context must always be part of the equation--whether it is immediately seen or not.
