About My Clients
With over a decade of experience, I have helped clients with a variety of clinical challenges: depression; anxiety; trauma; historical, inter-generational and racial trauma; immigration-related stressors; family and relationship conflicts; and life transitions. Some clients wish to explore their unique individual experiences within broader cultural and justice frameworks including feminism.
My Background and Approach
My foundation consists of a person-centered approach. I focus on helping you better understand and manage how to overcome life's challenges in a safe and supportive therapeutic space. I am trained in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Creative Arts Therapy, and Feminist-Relational Therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in the power of connection as a force for healing. I have personal experience in facing a range of challenges and that has helped me really listen and empathize with others. As an experienced human being, as well as a clinician, I also sometimes have a common-sense tip that can sometimes open a path. I genuinely love what I do and take pleasure in sharing others' journey.
