About My Clients
I specialize in treating adult patients ages 20-64, struggling with anxiety, and depression. My passion for mental health is driven by a commitment to break down the stigmas and provide care that sees beyond symptoms to the whole person. I believe that true healing comes from a holistic approach, to manage and improve mental wellness. In my practice, I prioritize creating an open and inclusive environment where every individual feels safe and supported.
My Background and Approach
I became a registered nurse in 2007, completed my graduate education at the University of Michigan in 2014 where I earned by first advanced practice degree as an Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. I later returned to graduate studies in 2023 to earn additional certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. My approach is holistic person centered and rooted in Integrative Medicine which involves complementary medicine combined with traditional psychiatry.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Throughout my career as an RN and now a nurse practitioner, I would see more and more patients suffering from untreated mental illness in the hospital. Too often they were just discharged without help and or resources. Having lived experience with mental illness in my own family I knew that I wanted to do more for this patient population. This prompted me to return to graduate school in 2023 and complete additional training to earn my degree as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I am committed to providing help to those suffering, especially individuals in the LGBTQ+, and BIPOC community.
