About My Clients
I have a special interest in supporting men’s mental health and helping clients navigate major life transitions, but I welcome individuals of all genders and backgrounds. I work with concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationships, and identity. My holistic, collaborative approach draws from CBT, MBCT, and Psychodynamic Therapy to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space for healing and growth.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC) in Maryland. I earned both my Bachelor’s in Psychology and Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from West Virginia University, where I focused on evidence-based approaches that promote lasting change. My training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), and Psychodynamic Therapy allows me to tailor treatment to your unique needs—whether that means addressing patterns of negative thinking, finding calm in the midst of stress, or uncovering deeper roots of challenges. I have a special interest in men’s mental health, yet I work with clients of all genders and backgrounds facing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, identity concerns, and life transitions. My holistic, collaborative approach emphasizes the interconnected areas of your life, helping you build resilience, self-understanding, and confidence. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where you feel empowered to create
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Beyond my work as a therapist, I value authenticity, empathy, and inclusivity. I believe mental health care should feel accessible and welcoming for everyone, especially those who may have felt overlooked or stigmatized in the past. I have a strong interest in men’s mental health and in challenging the cultural norms that often discourage men from seeking support, but I am equally committed to creating a safe and affirming space for clients of all genders, races, and identities. I’m an advocate for social justice and mental health awareness, and I strive to approach counseling with cultural humility and respect for each person’s lived experience. Outside of work, I enjoy staying active, exploring new places, and connecting with community, values that keep me grounded and remind me of the importance of balance and growth in everyday life.
