About My Clients

Feel like you keep getting in your own way? Maybe you’ve noticed yourself avoiding certain people or situations, numbing out just to keep going, or struggling to make decisions because nothing feels clear. Life keeps moving, but you feel off-balance, disconnected, or like you’re carrying more than you can handle. You're not alone if you just want a space to slow down, process honestly, and better understand yourself in the midst of change.

My Background and Approach

My approach to therapy is grounded in curiosity, awareness, and deep respect for the complexity of being human. I do not see therapy as fixing what is broken, but as understanding yourself in new ways, especially when life has asked you to adapt in ways you never anticipated. I work relationally, meaning our connection matters. I believe trust is earned, not assumed, and that healing happens in the safety of honest conversation. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, EMDR, and Polyvagal-informed work to support both insight and nervous system regulation. Together, we slow things down and explore patterns, beliefs, and the internal and external systems shaping your experience. I am not afraid of the messiness of grief or transition. In fact, I expect it. Therapy with me is collaborative, grounded, and guided by what matters most to you.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

My personal beliefs about therapy are shaped by both lived experience and the communities I belong to. As a member of the LGBTQ community, I understand what it means to navigate systems that do not always make space for your full humanity. I believe therapy should be a place where all parts of you are welcome and affirmed. My work is also deeply informed by years in hospice care, where I witnessed the tenderness, complexity, and honesty that often emerge at the end of life. Being alongside individuals and families in those moments strengthened my belief that grief is not something to fix, but something to honor and move with. I have walked through my own profound losses and seasons of struggle. I know what it feels like to appear functional while quietly unraveling. Because of that, I approach this work with humility. I do not claim to have all the answers. I believe in slowing down, telling the truth, and trusting that even in the mess, there is meaning to be found.
