About My Clients
My clients are diverse individuals seeking a safe, affirming space to heal and grow. I support neurodivergent individuals, children, teens, adults, couples, and families facing life's hurdles. They include parents managing family dynamics, LGBTQ+ individuals exploring identity, and those dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, or burnout.
My Background and Approach
Born and raised in San Antonio, I earned my Bachelor’s in Psychology from UTSA and my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health from Northwestern University, specializing in children and adolescents. My early career as an RBT and Operations Coordinator fueled my deep passion for supporting neurodivergent families and advocating for marginalized communities. My highest clinical priority is creating a deeply safe, affirming space. I practice from a trauma-informed, LGBTQ+ and gender-affirming framework, centering on cultural humility, intersectionality, and advocacy. My integrative style blends psychodynamics, multicultural therapy, CBT, mindfulness, and somatic techniques. Whether using play therapy for children (ages 5+) or supporting teens and adults through life transitions, I provide tailored support that honors your lived experiences.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe true healing begins when you feel deeply seen, which is why neurodivergent individuals and their families deserve an understanding clinician with dedicated ASD experience. Autism affects the whole family unit, and navigating different communication styles and worldviews requires a specialized approach. My background allows me to offer genuine, empathetic support that bridges the gap between autistic individuals and their non-ASD loved ones, helping everyone thrive together. Equally central to my work is the belief that culture inherently intertwines with how we see the world, shape our relationships, and experience mental health. Growing up and practicing in San Antonio, I know our backgrounds are not separate from our wellness. They are the lens through which we navigate life. I am committed to cultural humility, ensuring your intersectional identity, family heritage, and unique dynamics are fully integrated into your care.
