About My Clients
I have experience working with a variety of different populations. I offer therapy services for individuals, families, couples, children, adolescents, and adults. I have experience working with a lot of different ethnicity backgrounds. I work with nuclear and blended homes. I have experience working with heterosexual, homosexual and transgender individuals and couples.
My Background and Approach
Before being a therapist, I got my Bachelor's degree in Child and Family Development. I was a preschool teacher for 3 years and later transitioned into the behavioral and mental health field by becoming a high needs case manager. In this role, I gained a lot of experience working with rural, low income families and individuals. After working as a case manager that made me want to make an even bigger impact in people's lives and that's when I pursued a master's degree. I chose MFT because as an MFT you are trained with a systemic view, which means that you don't just look at the individual, you look at their environment and how that is impacting the individual and the current challenges or obstacles that they are trying to overcome.
