About My Clients
I work with adolescents, adults, and families navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, family conflict, life transitions, and identity-related concerns. Many of my clients feel stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or uncertain about how to move forward. As a bilingual therapist, I enjoy working with people from diverse backgrounds, including Spanish-speaking and LGBTQIA+ individuals.
My Background and Approach
My approach is warm, collaborative, and direct. I draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), tailoring treatment to each client’s unique needs and goals. Together, we will work to better understand what is getting in the way, build practical skills, and create meaningful, lasting change.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a gay, Mexican American man, I feel drawn to social justice causes and understand how culture, identity, family expectations, and systemic barriers can shape a person’s experiences. My lived experience informs the work I do as a therapist and helps me approach clients with humility, curiosity, and respect for their unique backgrounds. I strive to create a space where people feel seen, understood, and empowered to explore their values, strengths, and goals while navigating the challenges they face.
