About My Clients
My clients have a space where they can feel safe to be vulnerable and open. I like to support my clients through compassionate, solution focused, and quality care. My goal is to give you tools and guidance to achieve your life goals, find purpose and meaning and live the life you envision yourself living.
My Background and Approach
Through my own recovery experience, I became passionate in helping others recover. After working in all levels of care (ED RTC to OP), I now provide outpatient psychotherapy for adolescents & adults struggling to overcome disordered eating, eating disorders, body image issues, trauma, mood or anxiety disorders. For support systems, I provide education & guidance in navigating the journey as a caregiver & for those struggling w/ nutritional intake, I provide meal support and skill building sessions that can be an adjunctive service based on your work with me, another mental health professional or dietitian. I use a combination of evidenced-based theoretical perspectives to meet the needs of the individual. These include Cognitive Behavioral, Dialectical Behavioral, Exposure & Response Prevention Therapy and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), an evidenced-based trauma and exposure treatment which includes memory reconsolidating & smooth-pursuit eye movements.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Recovery and proactive life changes at times of difficulties are challenging and my hope is to collaboratively guide, support and provide you with the tools and skills needed to gain peace, independence and meaningful purpose. I believe in the importance of building independence and empowerment rather than codependency. My goal by the end of every therapy session, is for you to have a tool you can take with you. By the end of our therapy journey, my goal is for you to sustain individually without my support yet with the tools you have learned, practiced and adopted.
