About My Clients

I work with adults who are overwhelmed, burned out, anxious, dealing with the effects of difficult experiences, or trying to figure out what comes next. You may be someone who's used to handling things—the person others depend on—even when you're running on empty. You don't need to arrive convinced that therapy is going to work. You don't even need to know exactly what you want from it yet. That's part of what we can figure out together.

My Background and Approach

I've been a psychologist for more than a decade, working with people dealing with everything from stress and major life changes to trauma and more complicated mental health concerns. One thing I've learned along the way is that good therapy doesn't look the same for everyone. I'm a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, with additional training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), cognitive behavioral approaches, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care. I've also spent years working with people experiencing serious and complex mental health concerns. Very little surprises me, and you don't need to worry about bringing the difficult stuff into the room. All of that gives us different ways to approach the work. Sometimes you may need practical tools. Other times we may need to slow down and understand what's happening before deciding what to do about it. I bring my experience and training; you bring what you know about yourself. Together, we figure out what helps.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe people should have the freedom to figure out who they are and what matters to them without someone else deciding what their life is supposed to look like. I value authenticity, personal choice, compassion, and fairness. I also believe in community and in creating spaces where people can feel connected and safe enough to be themselves. That doesn't mean we all have to agree with one another. Humans are complicated—and I think that's part of the beauty of being human. I try to bring that same openness into my work. I'm less interested in judging how you got here than in understanding it. Your life, relationships, values, identity, and choices belong to you. My role isn't to tell you who you should be. It's to help create a space where you can be honest about who you are, figure out what matters to you, and decide where you want to go from here.
