About My Clients
Life brings on many changes that can create overwhelming feelings of worry, sadness, exhaustion or loneliness. You may be unsure of where this is stemming from, or maybe you just feel stuck. I'm here to explore both past and present experiences get to the core of what is happening. We will build on your strengths to improve relationships, better manage daily activities, increase energy, and feel better overall. I bring over 20 years of experience helping people take positive steps forward.
My Background and Approach
I take a client centered and strengths based approach with my clients. I meet you where you are, and build on your skills and successes to find ways to improve the areas that are a struggle. I bring in a variety of techniques, including cognitive behavioral therapy-a look at the connection between thoughts behaviors and actions; mindfulness therapy and the mind/body connection, a humanistic approach-helping you to be your authentic self, and an exploration of different parts of you that show up in a variety of ways.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that each person is doing the best they can with the tools and resources they have. You are likely seeking a counselor because what you’re doing isn’t helping as much as it previously did. Together we will work to build upon your strengths and skills. I will also bring in new techniques and strategies to help you manage the changes that you’re experiencing.
