About My Clients
Franchesca serves adults, couples, and families seeking compassionate, affirming therapy. She works with LGBTQ+ clients, Spanish-speaking clients, people living with HIV/AIDS, and those navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, identity, relationships, life transitions, and emotional overwhelm. Her approach is warm, culturally responsive, and focused on helping clients feel seen, supported, and empowered.
My Background and Approach
Franchesca brings nearly 20 years of experience in mental health, including community-based care, crisis work, program development, supervision, and private practice. As a Certified Dialectical Behavior Therapist, she uses DBT and other evidence-based approaches to meet each client’s unique needs. Her approach is warm, down-to-earth, direct, and deeply relational. Franchesca believes healing begins with feeling heard, believed, and understood. She works from a mind-body perspective, helping clients manage the physical effects of stress, anxiety, depression, and trauma before moving into deeper emotional processing. As a survivor and “wounded healer,” she brings not only clinical training, but genuine empathy, resilience, humor, and heart to the therapy room.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Healing begins when people feel heard, believed, and accepted without judgment. Her work is rooted in empathy, resilience, hope, and the belief that every story deserves to be honored.
