My Background and Approach
As a licensed mental health provider with over 10 years of clinical experience, I specialize in evidence-based approaches to treating anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. I hold a Master’s degree in Mental Health, and I am certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), allowing me to tailor interventions that are both effective and personalized. Throughout my career, I’ve worked across a variety of settings—including community mental health centers, private practice, and crisis response units—which has given me a deep understanding of diverse client needs. This means I can meet you where you are—whether you're facing a situational challenge or dealing with long-standing mental health concerns. One of my core strengths lies in building a safe, empathetic therapeutic relationship. I prioritize trust and collaboration, ensuring that you feel heard, respected, and empowered in every session.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Beyond my clinical training and professional experience, who I am as a person deeply informs how I show up as a therapist. I believe that healing happens in the context of authentic, affirming connection—and that starts with being open about my own values and commitments. I am a strong advocate for social justice, mental health accessibility, and the dignity of all people. I proudly support the LGBTQIA+ community and work to ensure my practice is inclusive, affirming, and safe for individuals of all identities and expressions. I also stand in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement and am committed to ongoing self-education and action around anti-racism and equity, both in and out of the therapy room. Mental health care should never be one-size-fits-all. I strive to understand the lived experiences, cultural contexts, and systemic challenges that shape each person's story. This means creating space for your voice, your values, and your goals—without judgment.
