About My Clients
Many of the clients I see struggle to address internal and relational issues; often finding themselves repeating unhealthy patterns or at a loss of what to do. Underlying wounds, emotions, and thought processes can keep clients stuck and prevent them from being able to engage in ways they would prefer. Through our work together, clients create a solid foundation for themselves enabling them to function from a place that promotes personal growth and healthier relationships.
My Background and Approach
I assist clients in becoming the healthiest person they can be for the betterment of all the relationships in which they find themselves. This goal is based in my belief that we often operate similarly across relationships whether it is with a partner, family member, friend, etc. Clients are guided in first understanding their needs and how it relates to relational issues. This helps to create a foundation from which the therapeutic work progresses. In sessions, I slow down and redirect ineffectual thought processes, interactions, and conversations so that clients can have personal growth along with learning how to have healthier and deeper relationships with others. Though it is challenging, clients are given homework to practice skills or review what was addressed in the session. This provides direction and ability to have assistance while in the learning process. I do not take insurance. However, I can provide a superbill which you can provide to your insurance for reimbursement.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am cis-gender, bisexual, spiritual, trauma survivor, Indigenous to Mexico, adopted into an Italian American family. As a proponent of social justice, I know of the many "isms" that can impact clients and their mental health. Therefore, I work hard on creating a space that is validating, supportive, encouraging, while also encouraging growth.
