About My Clients
Have you ever experienced loneliness despite being surrounded by people? Or perhaps you lack support and wish to find it. No matter the situation, I enjoy working to support and empower you throughout situations you may face difficulty coming out of. Feeling alone and unsupported, even though we may appear “great” on the outside, is a feeling no one enjoys. Whether this be transitioning between schools or jobs, difficult relationships, or an acute crisis, I will help to navigate your way.
My Background and Approach
Within a typical session, I like to set specific, time-oriented goals, if the situation allows for this. As we know, life can be unpredictable, however, for those minor moments where we do get some time to plan ahead, I like to let you know exactly what to expect, and we work as a team to identify next steps. I work to utilize evidence- based methods such as cognitive behavioral therapy. By using this method, we work as a team to identify patterns in your thoughts, and work to discredit those that no longer serve you or your purpose.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Therapy to me signifies the first step on this journey to self-love and growth, and there is no greater feeling than being selected to go along on that journey. As a person, I value transparency and believe it is vital in building a trusting relationship with anyone, but particularly within a therapeutic alliance. By being transparent in what to expect from session to session, to identifying realistic goals, I approach you and your unique situation with unconditional positive regard. I value where you are in this process, and will meet you there, not where you or I hope you can be some day. I believe no situation is impossible to overcome. Maybe that’s my blind optimism at play, but I stand by this belief, even in my personal life.
