About My Clients
I work with adults and couples who feel stuck in patterns that insight alone hasn't changed. Many understand why they struggle with anxiety, shutdown, people-pleasing, perfectionism, hypervigilance, or relationship conflict, but still feel caught in those patterns. I especially enjoy working with developmental trauma, attachment wounds, LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent clients, chronic illness, and relationships shaped by marginalization or complex life experiences.
My Background and Approach
I integrate EMDR, relational psychodynamic therapy, somatic approaches, attachment theory, and parts-informed work. Rather than only talking about patterns, we work directly with the emotional and nervous system responses that keep them in place. Therapy moves at a pace your nervous system can tolerate. My role is to pay close attention to what your system needs so therapy fits you—not the other way around. Much of our work happens in the present moment. We might slow down a difficult emotion, notice how your body responds, explore protective parts, or pay attention to patterns unfolding in the therapy relationship itself. The goal isn't to force change, but to create the conditions where lasting change becomes possible.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I don't believe people are broken. I believe our minds, bodies, and relationships adapt in remarkable ways to help us survive. The symptoms people most want to change—anxiety, emotional shutdown, perfectionism, hypervigilance, conflict, or disconnection—often make sense when we understand how they developed. My goal isn't simply symptom reduction. It's helping you build enough safety, flexibility, and self-trust that those survival strategies no longer have to run your life. I want therapy to be a place where curiosity replaces shame, responsibility coexists with compassion, and lasting change feels possible. I don't believe there is one right way to heal. Healing isn't about fitting yourself into a treatment model—it's about finding the conditions that allow you to become more fully yourself. I tailor therapy to your needs, drawing from a variety of approaches rather than expecting you to fit a single model.
