My Background and Approach
I have a warm and empathetic approach and work collaboratively with my clients to help them achieve their goals. I believe that therapy is a partnership and I work with my clients to develop treatment plans that are realistic, achievable, and effective. I draw from a variety of therapeutic techniques, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based approaches, and solution-focused therapy. I also emphasize the importance of building a strong therapeutic relationship and creating a safe and non-judgmental space for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings. I often provide psychoeducation to my clients as needed and my goal is to help clients gain insight into their patterns. I believe in the importance of self-care and I incorporate self-care practices into therapy when appropriate.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My path to becoming a therapist started with the love of psychology and an eagerness to learn more about the human mind and behavior. I am fascinated by the ways in which people think, feel, and behave, and want to use their knowledge to help others. I found myself from a young age having the natural inclination to listen to and support others, and wanted to use those skills to make a difference in people's lives. Becoming a therapist has been an incredibly rewarding career path, as it has allowed me to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
