About My Clients
Together, we identify core issues, feelings, and resolve problems while developing healthy coping skills. Increasing self-awareness and self-empowerment creates an opportunity for you to embrace your own unique strength and power. We will work together to create a new mindset of healing, emotional growth, and self-discovery.
My Background and Approach
I found my way to this career through trial and error, and lots of personal exploration in the non-profit sector working with houseless communities, foster care/adoption agencies, disability advocacy groups, and volunteering with my local crisis hotline. These experiences guided me toward my ultimate goal of helping others find healing and peace within themselves and within their relationships and communities. I offer a holistic and strength-centered approach to psychotherapy and healing, informed by neuroscience. The path towards healing and self-awareness can be intimidating and exciting. I strive for a hopeful approach that is curious and collaborative. I use elements of Internal Family Systems (IFS), Person-Centered Therapy, CBT, and Attachment Therapy, with a social justice and trauma-informed lens, throughout my work
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I bring to my practice attention to the impact of social injustice, institutionalized violence and social marginalization on our own lives and the lives of others. I seek to respect, encourage and support the pursuit of personal growth and fulfillment of all individuals regardless of age, race, ethnicity, ability, sexual orientation, gender expression, socioeconomic status, or chosen occupation. I affirm all styles and types of consenting romantic and sexual relationships including consensual non-monogamy/polyamory. I commit to continuous learning and growth in my cultural competence as a human and as a professional.
