About My Clients
Individualized and collaborative support for clients that often feel misunderstood or dismissed. My clients are often neurodivergent (ADHD, autistic, sensory processing difference), and benefit from a therapy space that is inclusive and non-pathologizing, while being goal-oriented, solution-focused, and strength-based. My clients often benefit from gaining self-acceptance, learning to work with and not against their brain's needs, and from learning to communicate these needs to others.
My Background and Approach
My practice is guided by evidence-based approaches, and I view wellness through an integrative framework. I encourage mind-body awareness, allowing clients to better understand their experiences, and more effectively manage discomfort. I offer flexibility, attention to pacing, and tailor to the client's preference for structure. I bring my honest curiosity, a strength-based and goal-oriented approach. We unravel limiting beliefs, and foster self-compassion and acceptance. We identify and navigate barriers and challenging systems (employment and school), identify solutions, and practice how to communicate needs to the people in life that matter.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I don't believe that we are broken or need to be fixed, but rather that pain is a part of our experience. I know there are disparities in causes, as well as in access to informed-care. We see how severe this pain can become for some, and the magnitude of its impact. I believe we can find relief, and that the pain can become more tolerable when we have safety and support, when we detach from unhelpful and limiting narratives, maximize our existing strengths, and bring forth the best parts of ourselves. I understand how important it is to collaborate with each client to find a system that fits their needs. I draw on Behavioral Therapies (ACT, CBT), Mindfulness, Strength-based, and Solution Focused modalities. I deeply trust this process and the capacity for growth. Reach out to see how I can help.
