My Background and Approach
I come to this work through professional evolution. I have worked with children, adolescents, and their families as an educator for over a decade. I understand it takes work to make relationships work and I am here to help. I have additional training in Gottman's method for couples and extensive trauma-informed training. My experience and collaborative style has equipped me with the tools necessary to create change.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that all people are inherently good and capable to achieve their goals. The reason everyone experiences difficulties in life is because of how we learn to deal with pain. From early on in our lives, we figure out the best way to deal with pain by creating behaviors or coping mechanisms. Unfortunately, this does not always result in healthy behaviors or actions that help us connect and build the relationships we wish for. I want to help you learn to deal with pain in a way that does not block your inherent capacity for growth. My role is to encourage, educate, equip, and empower you. In turn, I believe you will experience peace and do this for others, because it is at the core of who you are as a person.
