About My Clients
Healing from past trauma and grief can feel overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be something you face alone. Often, unresolved trauma can resurface when triggered, making it feel like you're reliving those painful moments all over again. I specialize in supporting adults who are navigating grief, anxiety, life transitions, or the challenges that come with adjusting to a new culture . My approach is centered on creating a compassionate, safe space where you can process your experiences.
My Background and Approach
Our first session will be an opportunity for us to explore if we're a good fit. During this time, I'll ask you to share why you're seeking therapy and what you hope to achieve. I'll also discuss my approach and emphasize that our work together will be collaborative. After our first session, you can decide if you'd like to continue working with me. I use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help process past traumas, alongside Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which helps us better understand how our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected. Together, we’ll work on recognizing and changing negative thought patterns so you can replace them with more positive, realistic perspectives.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I chose to pursue a career in mental health because I want to help break the stigma, especially in our Latino community. Growing up, I didn’t hear much about mental health, and when it was mentioned, it was often dismissed or even made fun of. As a Latina, I feel a strong calling to make a positive change in how we view our emotional well-being. My goal is to give you the tools to build resilience and remind you that mental health is just as important as physical health everyone has it, and everyone can work to strengthen it.
