I believe that you are the expert in your own life. In Narrative Therapy, there is an emphasis on stories you carry with you throughout your life that you gave meaning to at one time. Those stories and meanings now influence the way you see the world and people. So I use this type of therapy to explore those stories with my clients. Growing in awareness of your own story is the first step to change and improving current relationships.
I believe that everyone's view of the world is a little bit different from each other based on our own life experiences. I beleive that we all have the ability to find the best solutions within ourselves and have the courage to change it. I offer an empathetic presence and unconditional positive regard as I help you sift through the messiness and wounds of life. I provide a non-judgmental space where you may feel free to be exactly where you are at in your journey.
Attachment is an emotional bond with another person. The earliest bonds formed by children with their caregivers has a tremendous impact on relationships throughout life. I believe that we are often most wounded in relationships with others, therefore we are also healed in relationship. Journeying towards the path to healing and wholeness is not just about addressing the symptoms, but it is something much deeper. It is about addressing past wounds and connecting one to their story.
