My Background and Approach
Farrah’s career has encompassed a multitude of settings from inpatient psychiatric triage, crisis stabilization units and geriatric units to supervising outpatient crisis teams in her community and surrounding areas. She has a history of conducting psychiatric evaluations in emergency room settings, facilitating group therapy sessions and supporting clients in both individual and couples therapy for a variety of concerns. She is familiar with covering topics in the therapeutic environment such as depression, anxiety, trauma, stress, self-esteem and relationship difficulties. Farrah believes that taking the step to begin therapy takes courage, believing that the foundation to a positive therapeutic experience lies in creating a collaborative relationship with her clients where they are the expert of their stories. Farrah strongly believes in the power of a holistic perspective, focusing on the mind-body connection to ensure the whole person is being considered.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My therapeutic approach is one of empathy and empowerment where I help equip my clients with the tools needed for whatever their concern may be. I strive to provide a non-judgmental, inviting and genuine environment where individuals can comfortably unpack their thoughts and feelings safely. I truly believe each individual is the expert of their own story, and are capable of way more than they usually give themselves credit for! I believe in using laughter and humor therapeutically. I believe music and art are often overlooked and underestimated. And I believe everyone can benefit from increasing their self-awareness and taking the time to check in with themselves.
