My Background and Approach
Therapy often comes with a stigma, but when you are here with us you'll just feel like you're taking time out of your day to confide in a friend. Picture it: A real human being (not a scary, stuffy character like you see in the movies), sitting right there with you, helping you through all the things that are weighing on you. That human may mention growing up in Alabama & say “Y’all” here & there, but will most importantly be a calming presence & an expert in your healing. At Maitland Mental Health Co., connection is everything. You get to work with a therapist that isn’t stale and over-the-top professional. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Professionally, I was a peer-nominated founding member of the Racial Equality & Social Justice Committee for Broward County Schools. Personally, I am an active advocate and ally of the LGBTQ community and Black Lives Matter movement. Maitland Mental Health Co. is a safe space and inclusive space for any marginalized community. I encourage you to come exactly as you are, and I promise I will too.
