About My Clients
Our world is full of transitions, and even the most expected changes in our lives can bring unmanageable stress. My main goal is to help you navigate life’s challenges and work on empowering you to be able to be confident in your ability to seek out and make lasting changes. By looking deeply at your history, I want to get to the root of your current concerns.
My Background and Approach
I believe that each person’s individual needs require different approaches, and I often focus on person-centered and empowerment-based approaches to therapy. I also have experience with therapy types such as CBT and motivational interviewing. I have deeper experience in working with individuals looking to work through anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, LGBTQIA+ specific concerns, and chronic illness.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am very passionate about working with individuals in marginalized populations, and I believe in therapies that acknowledge and address the unfair societal structures that affect those populations. I value advocacy outside of session as much as inside of session, and I work to continue addressing disparities in the mental health care field in my free time.
