About My Clients

I specialize in working with firstgens (first-generation) and bi/multicultural folks around issues of anxiety, trauma, generational-trauma, identity & acculturation, grief & loss, relationships, and immigration related issues.

My Background and Approach

My approach is deeply relational, which means I focus on building safety and trust in our working relationship because I believe it is the foundation from which deep healing work can happen. I incorporate a cultural/trauma informed lens to help us navigate your experiences(s). Because I don't believe one modality of therapy fits all, I incorporate elements from different practices I have training in and have learned throughout the years, such as attachment, psychodynamic, narrative, strength-based, spirituality, mindfulness, neuroscience and CBT (cognitive-behavioral therapy).

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe mental health is more than diagnoses, our mental health is impacted by factors such as systemic racism, colonization and the patriarchy all which have and can cause trauma. Our responses to trauma is often how we show up in the world and in our interpersonal relationships.
