About My Clients
I work with adult clients who are looking to manage anxiety and depression, connect with their emotions, get "unstuck" from unhelpful patterns of thought and behavior, improve communication with their loved ones, interrupt procrastination and avoidance, overcome perfectionism and people-pleasing, cultivate self-compassion and self-acceptance, become more present, and live in the "now."
My Background and Approach
You need to talk, and I'm here to listen. But listening isn’t all I’ll do. I collaborate with clients in a dynamic process of exploration, discovery, and change. I will ask you thought-provoking questions, invite you to consider new perspectives, and engage you in an enlivening experience that promotes insight and growth. I believe a trusting, authentic relationship is the foundation for healing. My style is warm, direct, and highly collaborative. I may challenge you to "try on" a new approach, but I'll always lead with respect and compassion. My approach integrates behavioral, somatic, and emotion-focused modalities in order to achieve the most meaningful results for my clients: not only self-knowledge, but positive transformation.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I decided to pursue a Masters in Social Welfare to train in evidence-based, trauma-informed, social justice-oriented, person-centered care. At its best, therapy can be a liberatory practice, and I hope to give all of my clients an experience of liberation. I believe we all carry within us the innate capacity to heal and to thrive. Together, we can transform anxiety, depression, and trauma into relief, hope, and change for the better.
