I have extensive knowledge and professional experience working with victims of abuse, neglect, and domestic violence and perpetrators of abuse, neglect, and domestic violence. I particularly specialize in working with victims of childhood abuse and neglect.

I am extremely knowledgeable about kink and power exchange relationships; I have held lectures at both the undergraduate and graduate levels on kink and helping to de-stigmatize it. My particular expertise is around separating shame from kink.

I am a trained trauma therapist who has treated numerous survivors of PTSD to help them reclaim their lives. I follow the Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) model and am working on certification in both EMDR and Internal Family Systems therapy, both of which have been shown to reduce symptoms of PTSD in clinical research trials.

I believe that everyone can benefit from play. Research has shown that children learn the most while playing because of the way that their brains take in information. I don't think that stops when you turn 18. For that reason, I try to incorporate play therapy techniques when I can, which may mean playing games, doing art, or simply trying fun movements to demonstrate my point.

I am trained in Mindfulness techniques and provide monthly Mindfulness sessions for teachers in a Baltimore City public school. This is a component of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and can be used as a building block for other DBT skills or as a standalone therapy for anxiety and depression.

I have focused almost all of my professional career around learning how to treat trauma using the most effective, research-based methods I can. I am constantly learning new techniques or working towards certifications in cutting-edge therapies, such as EMDR and Internal Family Systems.
