About My Clients
I love working with clients who are trans and gender expansive, as well as folks newly questioning gender identity. I also primarily see clients who are autistic/think they may be autistic or are otherwise neurodivergent, and clients with complex trauma and dissociative symptoms.
My Background and Approach
I became a therapist after working for many years in early childhood education and earning a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education at UMass Boston. As a graduate student, I trained at Fenway Health in Boston working with mostly LGBTQIA+ clients, and graduated with my MSW from Salem State University. I have worked in private practice since graduating, along with part time work in Cambridge Health Alliance's mental health urgent care system. My approach to therapy is, above all else, relational. I believe that the most important aspect of therapy is the relationship built between the client and therapist. I am also informed by anti-racist, anti-Zionist, anti-capitalist, and generally Leftist values, and will bring up how internalized "isms" and experiences with microaggressions and systemic oppression impact mental health. I am EMDR trained, and can incorporate DBT and CBT into sessions upon request, but am not formally trained in those modalities.
