About My Clients
I see a lot of people who would identify with the words gender neurodiversity. There are a good amount of people out there struggle with both gender and sexuality issues as well as learning disabilities and the anxiety and depression that often come with it. Of course, these issues come up independent of each other and can be looked at through many different angles. Many struggle with sexual or gender identity issues and aren't sure where to go next.
My Background and Approach
I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from American University, and received my Master's degree from the Columbia University School of Social Work, and went through I am comprehensively trained in several therapy approaches, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Cognitive Behavior Therapy. I treat clients of all ages and with diverse range of issues, but especially enjoy working with adolescents, college students, and their parents.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community and engage with a number of different outreach organizations. I am a board member of TeamDC, a non-profit established to encourage and educate the LGBTQIA+ community on the importance and benefits of team sports. Outside of the office I enjoy traveling to unusual destinations, taking every chance to play pickleball, and rooting on the Washington Nationals.
