Many clients come to me not only because of what happened to them that should not have happened, but also because of what should have happened but didn't. I have significant training in attachment theory and its practical applications. Utilizing an attachment-informed perspective, I focus on the impact of early attachment relationships on present-day relationships, helping clients understand patterns and shift towards healthier attachments.

I have worked with brave survivors of physical, emotional, and sexual abuse, gaining a deep understanding of the myriad ways abuse impacts a person. In our sessions, we focus on how the abuse affects you in the here and now, identifying and addressing its ongoing effects. Together, we structure therapy to ensure a safe environment where we can explore past experiences and facilitate healing. My approach prioritizes your safety and well-being as we navigate the journey towards healing.

I have worked with individuals across the lifespan who have experienced traumatic events. My approach is trauma-informed, integrating insights from neurobiology to understand how trauma affects both mind and body. This perspective allows me to explore the profound impacts of trauma, providing tailored support that addresses the unique needs of each individual.

I am an IFS Institute-approved IFS Level One therapist. I incorporate IFS techniques into a holistic approach to trauma treatment. I use IFS to help clients better understand themselves, examine their strengths and struggles, create more self-compassion, develop effective coping skills for when they are triggered, and process past negative experiences. This approach allows for a deeper exploration of the self, fostering healing and resilience.

I am an EMDRIA-certified EMDR therapist. I incorporate EMDR techniques to help clients desensitize distress related to past experiences and reprocess negative events, along with the associated beliefs, emotions, and sensations. This method supports healing by transforming the impact of traumatic memories and fostering healthier responses.

I am a trained Circle of Security parenting facilitator through Circle of Security International and a trained Child Parent Psychotherapy provider through Child Parent Psychotherapy. I utilize these techniques when working with parents. Additionally, I apply my knowledge of attachment theory and its impact on early childhood trauma when working with adults who experienced childhood trauma or struggles in attachment relationships, helping them heal and build healthier connections.
