About My Clients
The decision to seek counseling is not an easy one. It takes strength and courage to begin the journey of self discovery and having someone to guide you through that journey could make a huge difference. This is where I come in. My focus is to provide counseling that leads to healing, growth and healthy changes in a supportive and empowering environment. I offer individual counseling to help you develop effective coping skills; overcome transitions and challenges; and develop positive thinking.
My Background and Approach
I utilize a person-centered approach while incorporating evidence-based practices like mindfulness, cognitive behavioral techniques and motivational interviewing. My goal is to empower you to take control of your thoughts, emotions and actions. My therapy style is empathic, collaborative and empowering.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Therapy is not a “one size fits all” so I personalize each session to fit the individual needs of every client. I want you to know that you are not alone. I have made it my life's work to support clients on their journeys to regain meaning in their lives. I know that what you are experiencing may have you feeling lost, confused, and maybe even hopeless. I work to bring out the best in everyone I speak with and allow their strengths and skills to flourish. I believe in racial equity.
