About My Clients
As a Spanish speaker, I have worked a lot with the Latinx community, worked with both individuals and families, adolescentes and adults. I have lots of experience in community mental health, which has given me the opportunity to work with diverse populations and diagnosis'. Some of these include: trauma, adjustment issues, anxiety, depression, grief, substance abuse, identity issues, and behavior issues.
My Background and Approach
I use CBT modalities and also EMDR depending on client needs. I am certified in two of the Incredible Year Series (school age children and parenting), TF-CBT and Seeking Safety. I am EMDR trained as well.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I welcome and support all individuals regardless of their cultural backgrounds. I support equal rights and encourage my clients to discuss social justice in our sessions as needed. I encourage my clients to share their experiences with me as it will help me better understand them. In our sessions together, we can piece together how these experiences have impacted your life and finding ways to move forward.
