About My Clients
I work with adults 18+ who may be struggling with depression, shame, boundary-setting, self-worth tied to productivity, and relationship stress. Many of my clients are Black, BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, or exploring sexuality, identity, and self-advocacy. They may feel numb, exhausted, or unsure how to slow down and be seen more fully.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor in Maryland and a Resident in Counseling in Virginia. My work is warm, supportive, and gently challenging. I use an integrative approach that draws from experiential therapy, EFT, and psychoanalytic therapy to help clients move beyond overthinking and into deeper emotional awareness. In session, I focus on helping you understand your patterns, notice what is happening beneath the surface, and build a more honest connection with your feelings, needs, and boundaries. I aim to create a space where you feel safe, respected, and not pressured to perform or have it all figured out.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe healing should feel accessible, affirming, and culturally responsive. My passion for therapy grew out of advocacy work for marginalized communities, including BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ people, and I care deeply about creating space for clients who have felt unseen, overextended, or expected to carry everything alone. I value self-advocacy, emotional honesty, and the freedom to explore identity, sexuality, and relationships without shame. I also believe that many of the barriers people face are shaped by culture, systems, and lived experience, and those realities deserve to be named with care.
