About My Clients
Are you worried about feeling judged or misunderstood? My goal is to make you feel heard and accepted, no matter how you are showing up. Together, we can work towards having a deeper understanding of yourself and the type of life that will make you feel fulfilled. I enjoy working with adults navigating life transitions, neurodivergence, trauma, mood disorders, and identity development.
My Background and Approach
I am person-centered and draw from Existential and Gestalt therapy. This means that we can work towards creating meaning in your life while allowing space for what comes up in your day-to-day. My approach is collaborative in nature. We can explore your identity, values, and strengths with the understanding that you are the expert of your own life. I want you to feel challenged, but always supported. There is no rush to your healing process. We can find a pace that feels safe and sustainable to you. I have experience in non-profit and working with unhoused people. This gives me a deeper understanding of the systems (housing, legal, healthcare... and many more!) that affect you as an individual, as well as those that affect our communities. There is always space to discuss the effects of these complex, often flawed, systems. This is a huge part of our lives and there is no judgment or assumption in what that has looked like for you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that therapy can be an empowering process that enables you to make more decisions that align with your values and the life you want to have! Your experiences, gender, sexuality, values, opinions, and everything else that makes up your identity are the foundation on which we will build. I believe that our identities can be expressed and intersect in many ways. I value creating a space where you feel free to show up as your authentic self! I'm particularly passionate about providing care to LGBTQ+ clients, but also enjoy working with many different types of people from all backgrounds and experiences. When not working, I enjoy cooking, being outside, and trying out new creative hobbies! I'm a mother to a wonderful Tabby named Clawdia.
