About My Clients
Clients who come to my practice—virtually or in person—are often seeking a warm, inviting, and nonjudgmental space where it feels safe to explore who they are, where they’ve been, and where they hope to go. I work with individuals navigating identity exploration, complex trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship concerns. Many of my clients identify as LGBTQ+, and others are simply looking for support in untangling the emotional weight of life’s experiences.
My Background and Approach
My professional background includes a wide range of experiences, which informs my flexible and integrative approach to therapy. I believe in honoring the uniqueness of each individual and tailoring our work to meet your specific needs. By building a foundation of trust and understanding, we create the space for meaningful collaboration. I draw from evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based techniques to support meaningful change. I also take a systems perspective, recognizing how culture, identity, and social context shape your experiences and relationships. You can expect a strengths-based, nonjudgmental, and patient approach as we work together to support self-discovery, healing, and lasting growth.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that each individual is on a unique journey through life, shaped by their experiences, relationships, and personal identities. Every person possesses an inherent capacity for resilience and growth, even during the most challenging moments. At times, life’s hardships or learned coping patterns can make it difficult to access these strengths, leaving us feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from ourselves. I believe therapy offers a supportive space to better understand these patterns, develop healthier and more effective coping strategies, and begin to ease emotional pain and suffering. As a therapist, my role is to walk alongside you in this process—working collaboratively to explore challenges, honor your lived experiences, and support meaningful change. I am committed to providing a compassionate, nonjudgmental environment where you feel seen, understood, and empowered to move forward at your own pace.
