About My Clients

I work with adults who are working on managing trauma, anxiety, depression, and complex relationships. My approach is collaborative and person-centered, focusing on what matters most to you. I guide individuals toward their goals using CBT and DBT, while ensuring therapy is tailored to your unique needs and values.

My Background and Approach

I've been working as a therapist since 2016. Before becoming a counselor, I worked at a domestic violence shelter and served as a legal advocate for individuals seeking protection orders. These experiences deeply inform my understanding of trauma, resilience, and the complexities of navigating unsafe or unhealthy relationships. My therapeutic approach draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), blending practical, evidence-based strategies with a person-centered philosophy. This means our work together is collaborative and flexible — I'll tailor my approach to meet your unique needs and strengths. Together, we'll identify unhelpful thought patterns and build practical coping strategies. Whether someone is working to heal from trauma, manage persistent anxiety and depression, or wanting to improve dynamics in their personal relationships, my goal is to empower each individual to approach their life with greater clarity and confidence.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe therapy is a collaborative process where healing begins with understanding and self-compassion. Each person carries a unique story shaped by their experiences, and I see my role as helping clients uncover their strength, make sense of their pain, and to find meaning. I believe lasting growth comes from exploring not only what has happened to us, but also how we respond to it — recognizing the ways we may unintentionally contribute to our suffering without falling into blame or shame. By creating a safe, compassionate space, I help clients examine these patterns with curiosity and openness. Together, we work toward building a life rooted in clarity, purpose, and emotional freedom, even when the path is difficult. Ultimately, I believe that understanding ourselves — our pain, our resilience, and our capacity for change — is the foundation for a more fulfilling and connected life.
