About My Clients
I will help you get curious and see if there are new ways of looking inside with more compassion and kindness. You will feel heard, seen, and validated. Therapy can be hard work, but it is absolutely worth it when you begin to see yourself through more loving and compassionate eyes. Our work together will allow you to heal and trust yourself, and build the confidence to reach your goals.
My Background and Approach
I have over twenty five years of experience in the social work field, with a particular passion for working with survivors and helping them see their strengths and power. I can help you heal using practical approaches (mindfulness, Brainspotting, psychodynamic) and creative approaches (Internal family systems/parts work, EFT tapping, and guided imagery). Together, we will build a safe space to mindfully notice and target those parts of you that need nurturing and healing so you can release what no longer serves you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I'm an ally and supporter of humans, particularly those who could use some help identifying their own strengths and gifts! I believe that EVERYONE is good at their core and can learn new ways of being if they want to. I am passionate about showing others their ability to be brave and make changes. There is nothing more rewarding than watching someone learn how to take better care of themselves. Traditional talk therapy alone can be helpful, but it's not as effective as some of the more somatic approaches mentioned above. I will nudge you toward investing your time and energy in real change, for You.
