About My Clients
My clients are adults and couples working through difficulties with self-esteem, anxiety, and perfectionism and have a history of trauma both big and small. My clients experience bouts of depression, and existential crises, and are trying their best to heal their wounds and repair early attachment experiences. My clients may have experienced sexual trauma or have confronted a series of injustices in their families or social spheres and these wounds affect them to this day.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC) in the State of Colorado and have been practicing since 2022. In my short time as a counselor, I've received training in EMDR and PACT in approved programs and I have participated in many trainings with the Embody Lab focusing on somatic therapies. I am a Registered Yoga Teacher and implement knowledge from yoga and mindfulness practices in my therapeutic work. I consider myself an integrative somatic therapist with a specialty in trauma and relationships. I believe that the body and mind are inextricably linked and that part of the process of therapy is to yolk these two entities together to create a fresh perspective for impactful change.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I value the whole person, regardless of race, gender, or political affiliation. I consider myself a feminist and support reproductive choice and social equity. I'm horrified by the abuses often enacted on people of lesser privilege and aim to be a safe harbor for those who've been victimized by those with greater privilege or entire systems. I also have continued concern for income inequity and am a proponent for systemic change in support of people's physical and mental health.
