There are many tools to reduce symptoms of anxiety and there are discoveries that can be made in the therapeutic process that may have dramatic effects on our everyday living, including our experience with anxiety.

What is stress? Stress can come from negative experiences like family conflict, burn out at work, or health problems. But stress also comes from positive experiences too, like getting married, having a baby, or buying a new home. It is important that we learn which self-care techniques work best for us in order to manage our stress.

CBT is the gold standard for treating several mental health conditions. It can be an empowering experience to learn how our thoughts influence our emotions which influence our behaviors. CBT reminds us that we can change our emotional state by practicing specific tools.

I do not know everything about your culture, and I will not act as if I do. I will take time to get to know you and how your culture impacts your desire to make changes.

I have received extensive training in several modalities including: attachment theory, trauma-informed, motivational interviewing, somatic therapies, play therapy (theraplay), addiction counseling, CBT, DBT, ACT, utilizing art in therapy, logotherapy, narrative therapy, brief solution-focused therapy, positive psychology...to name a few! We will work together to integrate techniques that are right for your healing.

Is it difficult to complete projects or get things done on time? Do people in your life seem frustrated with you? ADHD is a spectrum disorder and can look very different in different people. There are tools available to support your executive functioning and improve your quality of life!

There is no manual for bringing life to this planet (although plenty of books have been authored). Even if there were, each baby, toddler, child, teen and adult child is different. Your experience of becoming a parent and traveling through each stage is uniquely yours. Maybe your child has experienced medical issues you were not prepared for. Maybe your child displays behaviors you don't understand. Maybe parenting isn't going the way you imagined it to go. I am here to offer support.

Internal Family Systems (IFS) helps clients move through difficult times by becoming familiar with all "parts" of ourselves. Have you ever felt like, "part of me wants to do this thing, but another part of me doesn't want to?" If so, then you were experiencing an internal conflict between your parts. IFS helps us get to know our parts and the roles they play in keeping our internal system balanced.

Brainspotting allows us access to neural pathways leading to the midbrain that talk therapy cannot. If you have issues or concerns that you are not yet comfortable talking about or don't feel like you can find the right words, this modality may be for you.
