I have seen these patterns in many of my clients over the 10 years I have been a therapist and DBT has been tremendously helpful in breaking these patterns and building a life that feels worth living.
My Background and Approach
As a Linehan Board Certified DBT Therapist, I specialize in providing adherent, comprehensive Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for adults struggling with intense emotions, relationship difficulties, anxiety, perfectionism, and emotion dysregulation. My approach is warm, structured, compassionate, and grounded in the belief that people are doing the best they can while also needing effective tools and support to create meaningful change. I work collaboratively with clients to help them better understand their emotional patterns, reduce suffering, and build lives that feel more stable, connected, and worth living. I value authenticity, humor, and creating a therapeutic space where clients feel genuinely understood rather than judged. In addition to individual therapy, I incorporate evidence-based DBT skills to help clients strengthen emotion regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness in everyday life.
