About My Clients
Taking care of your mental health is often the hardest but most valuable work you'll ever do. I am honored to walk alongside others in therapy as they learn to care for themselves. I work with children and adolescents who are struggling to express themselves in appropriate ways, who have been through painful experiences, or who need to find new ways to cope. I also enjoy working with adults struggling with mood and anxiety disorders, particularly as related to parenting.
My Background and Approach
I view therapy as a safe place for you to find connection and support. I use a variety of techniques to connect with clients, including play, art, and games for children. I tend to be solution-focused and like to incorporate practical strategies for making changes in your life. It is important to me that therapy is effective, so I use evidence-based procedures and often work from a cognitive-behavioral perspective. I have worked in the mental health field for eight years and truly enjoy helping others grow and heal.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I feel strongly that everyone could benefit from therapy at some point in their lives. We all struggle with our mental health from time to time, and I believe in reducing the stigma that has become attached to mental health concerns. Other causes that are important to me include the anti-racist movement and women's rights. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking and eating food, reading and writing, hiking, and yoga. Please contact me to begin your journey to growth and healing. I'd love to help!
