About My Clients
I am passionate about working with teenagers and young adults facing anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, and challenging life transitions. This age group often navigates complex emotions and societal pressures that can feel overwhelming. I work to provide a safe, supportive environment where clients can express themselves freely. Together, we'll explore your unique experiences, develop coping strategies, and build resilience as we navigate these pivotal moments in your life.
My Background and Approach
I hold a Master’s in Social Work from Rutgers University, along with a Bachelor of Arts in Cell Biology and Neuroscience and Psychology. This diverse educational background allows me to integrate scientific understanding with a compassionate approach to therapy. I have a strong commitment to serving diverse communities, which is why I obtained a certificate in Latina/o/x Initiatives for Service, Training, and Assessment (LISTA). This training equips me to provide culturally responsive support tailored to the unique needs of individuals and families. I’m also trained in Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy, offering innovative treatment options for those navigating various mental health challenges. In my work I pull from CBT, DBT, Humanistic Approach, Internal Family Systems, Attachment and Polyvagal theory.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that our mental and physical well-being are deeply intertwined. The mind-body connection is not just a concept; it’s a powerful reality that shapes our overall health. When we nurture our minds, we enhance our physical vitality, and vice versa. In my practice, I encourage clients to explore this connection through mindfulness, movement, and self-compassion. Equally important is the celebration of our unique differences. Each of us carries a rich tapestry of experiences, backgrounds, and cultures that contribute to who we are. I deeply value cultural appreciation and strive to create an inclusive space where all voices are heard and honored. Embracing our diversity enriches our understanding and fosters empathy, ultimately leading to stronger connections and healthier communities. Together, let’s recognize the power of our mind-body connection and celebrate the beautiful differences that make us whole. 🌈✨
