About My Clients
There are many reasons why a person may seek therapy. Are you feeling overwhelmed by the every day stressors that life brings and want to have a safe space to externalize these emotions and develop healthy ways of coping? Maybe you are noticing patterns of behavior in your life that you want to explore and begin to change. Are there relationships in your life that impact your mental health and you'd like to identify ways to set boundaries? I am here to help you sort through.
My Background and Approach
As a dually licensed mental health counselor and art therapist, with a license in substance use counseling, I take a holistic, person-centered approach to each of my clients. I have had the privilege of working with children, teens, adults and older adults in a variety of settings, providing the experience and exposure to different diagnoses, treatment modalities and developing an integrated approach tailored to the client. My specialties include attachment work, trauma, and those navigating life transitions. I am committed to creating a safe, trusting and collaborative environment. Based on your goals in therapy, we will work together to facilitate growth while restoring emotional and mental health. Art therapy embraces the creative process and materials as a therapeutic and healing experience, instead of focusing on the product. Art making is used as a gateway for communication and connection between body and mind and allows us to externalize things we cannot find words for.
