About My Clients

I work with children, teens, young adults, and parents navigating anxiety, big emotions, behavioral challenges, life transitions, relationship difficulties, and other experiences that can leave kids and families feeling stuck. I especially enjoy helping young people better understand themselves, recognize their strengths, and develop skills that help them feel more confident and successful. I also partner closely with caregivers to strengthen connection and support change beyond the therapy room

My Background and Approach

I believe therapy is most effective when young people feel genuinely understood, accepted, and comfortable being themselves. My style is empathetic, strengths-based, collaborative, and fun. I take time to build a trusting relationship and meet each client where they are, using their interests, personality, and strengths to make therapy feel engaging and meaningful. I also recognize that children and teens don’t exist in isolation. Relationships, family dynamics, school, community, and other parts of a young person’s environment can all influence how they feel and function. I consider these factors as we work together to understand what may be underneath a challenge rather than focusing only on the behavior we can see. When working with children and adolescents, I value collaboration with parents and caregivers. Together, we can build skills, strengthen relationships, and help positive changes carry over into everyday life.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe every child deserves to have adults who are curious about who they are rather than focused only on what they are doing. Behavior communicates something, and approaching children with empathy, curiosity, and respect can open the door to meaningful change. I value creating a therapeutic space where clients and families feel welcomed, accepted, and free to be themselves. I believe in recognizing strengths alongside struggles and honoring the many relationships, identities, experiences, and environments that shape each person. Above all, I want young people to leave therapy with a stronger understanding of themselves and families to feel more connected and confident in supporting one another.
