About My Clients

I believe that optimal physical and emotional wellness is achieved when the effects of life stressors are treated from a holistic perspective. My therapeutic practice focuses upon supporting clients to feel empowered in their healthcare, relationships, and social contexts. I have worked extensively with trauma, the LGBTQ community, chronic health conditions, violent loss bereavement, stress management, and fertility, pregnancy and postpartum challenges.

My Background and Approach

My therapeutic practice is informed by narrative, feminist, social justice-oriented and trauma-informed approaches to therapy. I have been practicing therapy is San Diego, CA since 2004 and offer telehealth to clients all over California. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Art from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Alliant International University, San Diego. I earned my Ph.D. in Education at San Diego State University and Claremont Graduate University. Additionally, I am trained in Brainspotting and I have completed the Mental Health Professional Certificate Course through the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) and am a member of ASRM and the ASRM Mental Health Professional Group. I have also completed Postpartum Support International’s Perinatal Mental Health Certification Program coursework and am a Certified Perinatal Mental Health Professional (PMH-C).
